Willian Nylander has managed to amass a high valuation after playing hockey for the Toronto Maple Leafs. But he possibly also has a sizeable net value because of generational wealth as his father, Michael Nylander, also played hockey, initially for the Calgary Flames and then for several teams in the United States.

In 2021, William, who plays right-wing, had a salary of $2.5 million. He also had a signing bonus of $3.5 million, putting his entire deal at $6 million. The six-year deal was signed in 2018. Besides playing for Toronto, he has also represented Sweden, leading them to victory in the World Championship in 2017.
