Russell Wilson (32) – $135 Million
NFL quarterback Russel Wilson played both baseball and football at North Carolina State University. But after he transferred to the University of Wisconsin in 2011, he focused on football. He hasn’t regretted it and has won a Super Bow in 2013 with the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson is also an eight-time All-Star player.
He is also one of the best-paid players in the NFL and as recently as 2019 he signed a lucrative $140 million to stay with the Seattle Seahawks until 2023. This made him the highest-paid player in the league. In 2021 he ranked 12th in the top 100 players, which was his third-highest placement.
O.J. Simpson (74) – $3 Million
While one could say that O.J. Simpson is an American former football player and sports commentator, the fact is that he’s best known for his infamous murder lawsuit. Arguably one of the most talked-about trials in the history of the United States, the case ended with a not guilty verdict and inspired countless shows and documentaries, including the first season of “American Crime Story.”
Absolved in 1995, Simpson was later arrested following a 2007 Las Vegas incident. His fortune is credited to sit at $3 million, which is a lot less than he used to have in his heyday. He currently resides in a Las Vegas gated golf course community.
LeSean McCoy (33) – $14 Million
There’s hardly a fan of American football that wouldn’t know LeSean McCoy. The former running-back is one of the few NFL stars to have surpassed 10,000 career rushing yards, which is a massive accomplishment in the sport. He’s also won two Super Bowls in his career, which is more than many players can dream of.
Because of his incredible talent and fame, McCoy was able to sign a contract worth $40 million in his career. Even after retiring in 2021, this might explain why he still has an impressive net worth of $14 million.
