Derek Jeter is a legendary baseball player who is renowned as one of the greatest Short Stops in the history of Major League Baseball. He spent his entire 20-year career at the New York Yankees and was an important part of the Five World Series title the franchise won during his career.
Jeter was so revered that in 2001 he signed a lucrative 10-year contract worth $189 million. For his final season in 2014, he negotiated a $12 million one-year extension. Since retiring he has moved into business and owns the Miami Marlins MLB franchise. In April 2021 Jeter became a board member of Rockefeller Capital Management.
