Brian Cox found his footing in the industry by extensively working with the Royal National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company. He came under the spotlight for portraying the title character in “King Lear.” He cemented his place in showbiz as the first actor to embody Hannibal Lecter in the 1986 movie “Manhunter.” Cox is the recipient of a Golden Globe and two Olivier Awards, amongst other accolades.
