Nehemiah Persoff – 1919
Born in Jerusalem, Persoff immigrated with his family to the United States in 1929 and graduated from the Hebrew Technical Institute in 1937.
His career as an actor began simultaneously with his work as an electrician in the New York subway. It wasn’t until 1948 that he was really considered an actor, as that year he was accepted into the Actors Studio in NYC.
His many television credits include Five Fingers , The Big Valley, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Untouchables and the beloved Little Dictator at Gilligan’s Island.
Nowadays his 102 years old and lives with his wife, Thia, in Cambria, California. They have four children.
