Bonnie Raitt – 1949
When Bonnie Raitt was announced the winner of the award for “Song of the Year” at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards in 2023, a good chunk of people were excited to see this icon get some more recognition for her undeniable talent.
Raitt began her career as a musical artiste in 1971 with a self-titled debut album that was warmly received. But it wasn’t until 1989 that she achieved significant commercial success and widespread fame with her tenth album, “Nick of Time.” Now, after five decades on the scene, Raitt has 13 competitive Grammy Awards and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award as proof of her success.
