Carole King – 1942
Carole King is an American singer-songwriter who has been active since 1958. King is one of the most successful songwriters in the latter part of the 20th century. She has written or co-written over 118 hit pop songs on the Billboard Hot 100 charts during her time. Her skills go far beyond that, though, for she can also play the piano amazingly.
Other than the single I Believe in Loving You in 2013, we haven’t seen much of her work lately. It seems fair considering she’s close to celebrating her 79th birthday. King has also delivered performances in a few movies, particularly in the ’80s, like the film Russkies.
