If you’ve been around long enough, then you’ve surely enjoyed heaps of movies, TV shows, and songs from the Golden Age of Hollywood up to the ’70s and ’80s. Do you ever wonder what happened to the actors who gave life to your favorite characters and singers who performed the now-nostalgic songs? If the answer is yes, then you’re in the right place.
We have curated a list of 50 stars who are still alive and kicking, and most of them have passed their 70-year milestone. Nonetheless, you’d be surprised to learn who among them are still active in their careers and how much they have got going on in their lives!
Linda Gray – 1940
Linda Gray truly hit the jackpot when she won the role of the long-suffering wife Sue Ellen Ewing in the widely popular soap opera “Dallas” in the ’70s. The gig brought her career to new heights and even saw her score a Primetime Emmy nomination.
While it remains her most famous role to this day, Gray went on to star in other noteworthy projects including the film “Oscar.” She also began focusing on stage acting in the ’00s and appeared in productions of “Cinderella.” Still alive and thriving, Gray graced the silver screen in the movie “Intuitions” in 2019.
Marsha Hunt – 1917
The American actress, model and activist Marsha Hunt is a Golden Age of Hollywood legend with more than enough crazy stories to tell her grandchildren. At the age of 103, she’s a proud survivor of McCarthyism, a ’50s movement that caused numerous Hollywood performers to be blacklisted on the account of being “communist.”
Known for appearing in over 100 productions over the course of seven decades, Hunt officially retired from show business in 2014. In 2021, she appeared as herself in the documentary Journey to Royal: a WWII Rescue Mission.
Ariana Richards – 1979
Looking for a role model? Look no further as Ariana Richards is the perfect inspiration for all the Millenials and Gen Z people. The talented woman may be in her early-40s but has been working since she was nearly ten years old.
Ariana’s debut movie was Into the Homeland, while you can try to spot her in the epic tales of Jurassic Park too- the more popular one. She also won three Favourite Newcomer awards in 1994 – a deserving candidate, we must say! The lady has come a long way as a film and television actress and a performer in music videos such as Ben Folds Five’ Brick.
