Michelle Phillips – 1944
Made famous for being one of the singers of “The Mamas & the Papas,” Michelle Phillips moved away from the music business to focus on her brilliant acting career following the band’s breakup. She made her debut in 1971’s “The Last Movie” before finding a place in the casts of “Dillinger” and “Knots Landing.”
A longtime advocate of the legalization of cannabis, Phillips made her final acting appearance (so far) in the 2009 action flick “Svik.” Yet, she remains an active public figure who loves to be interviewed/featured in documentaries. In 2021, she appeared in an episode of “This Is Pop.”
Eric Clapton – 1945
Eric Clapton, the only three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, is a British musician known for his exceptional guitar skills. He made a name for himself as a solo artist, releasing songs like Wonderful Tonight singer, and as part of The Yardbirds and Cream bands.
Clapton is 75 years old now, with a career spanning almost six decades. However, he is still active as a musician, having released his latest studio album Happy Xmas in 2018. It may be time for Clapton to retire, though, after revealing that he has a hearing disorder during a BBC interview in the same year.
