Ed Asner — 1929

Ed Asner rose to prominence in the ’70s with his role as Lou Grant in The Mary Tyler Moore Show. He also continued the work, playing the title character on its spin-off series, Lou Grant. These two shows alone have earned him various accolades over the years.

Asner even served as the president of the Screen Actors Guild in the ’80s. He may be 91 years old, but the idea of stopping isn’t among his priorities. We can’t even begin to write down the lengthy list of his upcoming works that puts his acting credits over a whopping 400. They include Platform, Awaken, and Blood.
