Eileen Derbyshire – 1931

Here’s another Coronation Street alum that’s not only remembered for her beauty but her stellar acting skills as well. British actress Eileen Derbyshire played Emily Bishop’s character for more than half a century – an impressive run considering the show has been on the air for just as long! However, she made her final bow on the show in January 2016 for personal reasons.

Derbyshire prefers to lead a private life away from the limelight when she’s not acting. As such, she opts out on award ceremonies or any other event, which is why she’s been known to be a recluse in her later years.
