Philip Lowrie – 1936

Another British institution, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, produced actors that are still with us today. Colin Philip Lowrie, or simply Philip, came out of its doors ready to tackle theater and more. As it turned out, being professionally trained may be advantageous. Philip went on to spend decades in the long-running British television series Coronation Street. The very same show was home to many big names in acting.

The thespian has dabbled in pop music, voiceover acting, and stage plays, leading up to roles in several highly acclaimed West End shows. The performer must have caught the stage acting bug because Lowrie’s stayed on from 1963 until today.
