Tony Burton – 78 (1937-2016)

Tony Burton was well-known for his role as a boxing trainer in all six Rocky movies. Being a boxer himself in the ‘50s, Tony gave life to his Duke Evers character with such talent and passion that even his co-stars recognized the late actor’s contribution to the films.

Before appearing on screen, Tony served a three-year sentence, where he experienced acting firsthand as part of a therapy program. The rest, as they say, is history. Before Tony’s demise, he signed up to appear in a movie, but unfortunately, the actor lost a fight with pneumonia a month before his 79th birthday.
