Eddie Van Halen – 65 (1955-2020)

Rock star Eddie Van Halen, who fans remember as a grinning guitar genius, succumbed to lung cancer in 2020. Eddie was surrounded by his family when he took his last breath after years of fighting for his health.

The music legend, who co-founded the rock band Van Halen, changed the scene in the ‘80s with his powerful solos and inventive techniques in playing the instrument. As a supportive father, Eddie passed on the talent to his son, Wolfgang, a gifted multi-instrumentalist who served as the band’s bassist at the young age of 15. We can only hope that Eddie is still rocking it where ever he is.
