Regis Philbin – 88 (1931 – 2020)

It’s safe to say Regis Philbin lived a full and happy life when he passed away at the age of 88. He followed his dreams and spent many years doing what he loved. Some people joined the entertainment world by chance, but not our famous host!

When a top-ranking officer in the Navy asked him what he planned to do after leaving the service, Philbin replied that he wanted to pursue a career in television. The legendary broadcaster’s big break was through The Regis Philbin Show in 1961, but it was Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee that became a massive hit with TV fans.
