I Love Lucy star, Lucille Ball, made history for women in television as a pioneer in comedy and a top TV executive. She promoted the 3-camera technique used in filming sitcoms and was the first woman ever to own her studio.

Lucille, who was married twice and had two children, poured her heart and soul into her career, resulting in over 70 films and various recognitions in the industry. The star last appeared at the 1989 Academy Awards before she passed away due to heart problems. True to her character, the “Queen of Comedy” is said to have spent her last days spying on her neighbors just for the fun of it.
