American actress Erin Moran’s memorable portrayal of Joanie Cunningham in Happy Days got her recognized as a talented performer. Her character became so popular that the network authorized a spinoff Joanie Loves Chachi! Both sitcoms enjoyed a successful run, but after that, the television star struggled to find a suitable acting role.

Those years shooting for the TV shows were perhaps the happiest days for Moran, who fell into hard times in the years leading up to her throat cancer diagnosis in late 2016. She lost her battle with the terrible disease in 2017, and this pic is one of the last ones captured by her friend at a fundraiser.
