Nancy Marchand – The Sopranos

If you have watched the television drama series The Sopranos, you know who Nancy Marchand is. The actress brilliantly portrays Livia Soprano, the not-so-loving mom to Tony Soprano, a role that made her a fan favorite.

Despite her fantastic performance, Marchand wasn’t in tip-top shape when filming the first two seasons, as she was ailing from lung cancer, and she sadly passed on before season three could begin. As she was one of the main characters, the producers chose to give her a proper sendoff, using CGI to create one last scene between her and her son Tony.
