Mark Hamill – Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker

One cannot argue that when it comes to Star Wars, Mark Hamill plays one of the pivotal roles. So when the time came for Mark to reprise his role as the legendary Luke Skywalker in the Rise of Skywalker movie, it made absolute sense to keep this beloved actor in part and use digital effects to de-age his character.

Seeing someone else embody a young Luke would’ve been a bit much for fans to take in; that using CGI was certainly the best way to retain the inspiring sense of awe and wonder Mark had provided for this specific Jedi over the last couple of decades.
