Slick Rick – $3 Million
If you’ve heard of the song or a sample of “La Di Da Di,” then you should know that Slick Rick, or Richard Martin Lloyd Walters, is one of the people behind this tune while he was a part of a crew back in the 1980s. His works have been sampled many times by modern artists like Kanye West, Eminem, and Mariah Carey.
As such, he is considered one of the most sampled artists in history. Although Slick Rick, who also is nicknamed Rick the Ruler, makes money from music, he is also an actor who appeared in “Brooklyn Babylon.” In September 2021, he graced a fundraising auction in Staten Island.
