David & Victoria Beckham – 1999 Gucci Show

At the turn of the millennium, David and Victoria Beckham were among the world’s most trendy couples. But their superstar status was nearly threatened by a crass red carpet mistake. David himself has recently admitted his leathery look is an all-too-cringy blast from the past.

For some unknown reason, the power couple decided to dress in full leather outfits to attend a classy 1999 Gucci show. The suits were Versace, but we don’t think they were meant to be used at a red carpet event, let alone by two people at the same time.
