Chloë Sevigny – 2001 Academy Awards

In 2000, the indie film actress Chloë Sevigny attended the Academy Awards wearing a stunning all-black gown. In an interview with Los Angeles Times, she mentioned it was one of her favorite Oscar looks ever. But she made no mention of the red carpet attire she tried out the following year.

Going for a riskier style, Sevigny made it to the worst-dressed lists by showing up at the 2001 Academy Awards wearing a rather elaborate style that featured way too many different types of fabric.
