Bill Gates owning a private jet does not come as a surprise since he’s one of the top ten wealthiest people in the world. Since Gates can afford it, the famous billionaire chose one of the most lavish luxuries. Purchasing his $40 million Bombardier BD-700 Global Express did not even significantly affect his net worth of more than a hundred billion dollars.

The high-speed corporate aircraft has a clean-sheet design that may have drawn Gates to it. Buying his own plane gives the Microsoft head the convenience of avoiding crowded airports, especially when his business meetings require constant travel.
