A Familial Connection With A Cousin In The Films
Tom had the opportunity to work with his cousin William Mapother who is also an actor. He considers it a special honor to work alongside his family in movies, allowing them to showcase their acting skills and chemistry.
On-screen, William only played a small role in “Rain Man” in 1988 but significantly contributed to the story as a writer. Similarly, his part in “Born On The Fourth Of July” in 1989 was not that big, but it helped to reveal the accurate depiction of Vietnam War veteran experiences. The paparazzi even photographed William attending a dinner in Rome with Tom and Katie.
