Paul McCartney and Heather Mills’s special day was straight from a fairytale because they became husband and wife in a beautiful Irish castle. They reportedly spent a whopping $2.3 million, but it was all worth it since they and their 300 guests witnessed a day they will forever remember.

Sadly, they decided to separate in 2008, and he eventually moved on to his third and current wife, Nancy Shevell. McCartney might’ve realized how unnecessary a lavish ceremony was because he opted for a more intimate one with Shevell in 2011. He undoubtedly saved money, but he doesn’t really need to since he’s worth $1.2 billion.
