Several celebrities had graced the grounds of Woodstock, yet Janis Joplin’s appearance at the festival made a huge uproar. The star sure looks calm and composed in the picture, but apparently, she was incredibly giddy and nervous after looking at the huge crowd, which was probably why she sought refuge in some refreshing beverage.

Apart from the slightly delayed performance and a voice mishap, the audience cheered loudly when Janis started singing, and the crowd even demanded an encore when the show was over. It truly must be the most memorable celebrity appearance at Woodstock thus far!
