No Capitalism, Please!
Not even the free-spirited Woodstock members could resist the idea of making some cash by selling goods at the festival. But some capitalist merchants took things a bit too far as they decided to make a larger profit. One food stand, in particular, went overboard, raising the price of a burger to $1 from $0.25, and then, all hell broke loose.
The anti-market yippies were offended by the commercial strategy and burnt the stand down. Then again, isn’t putting up a full-fledged riot also violate the basic morals of peace and love that the freethinkers live by?
