Half A Million People Invaded A Small Town
Because the organizers did not expect as many as four hundred thousand people to show up for what was to be a small gathering of music lovers, there were many logistics issues. With that horde of people gathered in a six hundred acre farmland in Woodstock‘s sleepy town, the unprecedented crowds pouring in also jammed the 17B highway.
Being sold out was such an understatement for what actually happened at the Woodstock music festival. Yet, the peace and love culture prevailed in making sure everyone was safe, and there were no serious issues with all the chaos that resulted from the crowd.
