Sage Erickson
Sage Erickson’s life changed forever when her family moved to Oahu, Hawaii when she was 9. For most of us, that would just mean more time spent at the beach, adventures in the jungle, and likely a sunburn that would never go away. For Erickson, it meant an introduction to surfing that changed everything for her.
Fast forward to today and Erickson is one of the top female surfers in the world. In fact, she’s won two of the last three US Open of Surfing championships and currently ranks 13th in the world in the World Surf League. Just think, her family could have moved anywhere. It would have been tough to start a surfing career from say, Illinois.
