Katie Ledecky
Many refer to Katie Ledecky as one of the most excellent female swimmers in history. She holds records in the women’s 1500-, 800-, and 400-meter freestyle, and she already brought home seven Olympic gold medals. She even won fifteen times at the World Championships.
She was only fifteen years old when she made her Olympic debut in 2012. In 2016, Ledecky was the most decorated female athlete during the Olympic Games. She continues to achieve new heights today, and she takes pride in being the first swimmer who won a distance event for three consecutive years.
