Even before the septuplets were born, they were instant stars. The media kept running headlines about the McCaugheys and the fact that they had seven little ones on the way. It wasn’t all positive attention because people had mixed reactions. Some felt that Bobbi and Kenny didn’t make the best decision by refusing to reduce the number of embryos.
Unsolicited opinions kept flooding in, and the couple was labeled as a selfish pair at some point. The landslide of opinions favored the thought process that if they decreased the number of tots Bobbi was carrying, it would increase the odds of having healthy newborns.
