The Hamster Looks Guilty

A 16-year-old Molly Anne Bish of rural Worcester County, Massachusetts, vanished while lifeguarding in her hometown of Warren. This sparked the largest search in the state’s history and three years later, her remains were uncovered in neighboring Hampden County.

Unfortunately, they used an image of a hamster instead of a photo of the suspect, Rodney Stanger. He is a Florida resident with a conviction for murdering his girlfriend and was formerly a resident of Southbridge, Massachusetts. This mistake was a huge disservice to the public and to the memory of Molly Bish. It is paramount that information and images are accurate when reporting on serious news stories.
