Jimmy Carter is the 39th President of the United States of America, and he served from 1977 to 1981. Before he had aspirations of becoming a politician or a president, he was raised on a farm in Plains, Georgia, until he left for college in 1941.

While the family left the farm in 1949, it currently stands as a tourist destination for anyone who wants to learn more about the former president’s early life. The farm has been restored to its original appearance before electricity was installed and includes stories recorded by Carter at various landmarks about his childhood.
