Few people know that Alexander Ocasio-Cortez once worked as a waitress and bartender. But since 2019, her fortune changed with her election to Congress, representing New York’s 14th district. Given that her victory was a major upset, it wasn’t surprising that her life soon came under scrutiny.
At the center of it was the location of Ocasio-Cortez’s house. Throughout her campaign, she’d warmed up to Bronx residents as being one of them. In fact, she lived in the Bronx until she turned five, and her family moved to this house in Yorktown Heights. Although they put it on the market, it sold for $355K in 2016.
