Cheryl Ladd — 1951
Cheryl Ladd was the only one who could have brought Kris Munroe’s persona to life during her time on NBC’s “Charlie’s Angels.” With “Millennium,” “Poison Ivy,” “Purple Hearts,” and “Permanent Midnight,” she endeared herself to the audience. Despite her growing reputation and success, Ladd continued to perform in various comedies, most of which were musicals. At Super Bowl XIV, she even sang the national anthem.
She devoted much of her time to the non-profit organization “Childhelp,” which helps stop and treat abused women. She’s most recognized for her role as Melody Valentine in the animated series “Josie and the Pussycats,” for which she provided the singing voice.
