American actor Richard Dreyfuss was shot to stardom in the ’60s. As of 2022, he has been in countless high-profile films, making him a household celebrity. Between the ’70s and the ’90s, Dreyfuss’ acting career reached its pinnacle. On the big screen in 1975, he appeared in Jaws and several well-known films including “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” “American Graffiti,” and “Stand By Me.”
In 1978, for “The Goodbye Girl,” Dreyfuss won the Academy Award for Best Actor, as well as the one for Mr. Holland’s Opus in 1995. Additionally, he was nominated for a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award, among his other honors.
