Veli Mothwa – $220k
In September, Bafana Bafana is trying to qualify for the next FIFA World Cup, and the COSAFA Cup in July as part of their preparation – Veli Mothwa is part of that squad. Mothwa, who is the captain of the PSL side, AmaZulu, was both honored and excited to be named as the captain for the South African national side in the COSAFA Cup in July 2021.
His outstanding performances last year led to the goalkeeper’s promotion. He was partnered by Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine de Reuck, vice-captain, and lead by Helman Mkhalele, the coach.
