Itumeleng Khune – $380k
Itumeleng Khune is the goalkeeper for Kaizer Chiefs in the Premier Soccer League, and also for Bafana Bafana – the South African National Team. When he is fit, he is usually the captain of both teams, but gave the captaincy to Veli Mothwa.
He has been sidelined by injuries in 2019, and his contract was due to expire in the 2020/21 season. In the meantime, he did some hard work in the gym and showed off his new physique in 2021. His club has faith in him, and extended his contract for another year, giving him a hefty salary.
