Philani Zulu – $180k

Philani Zulu’s salary was vastly improved when he moved from Maritzburg to Chiefs four years ago was shown the door at Kaizer Chiefs at the end of the 2020/21 season. Almost immediately, he was snapped up by AmaZulu after securing a lucrative deal that was set on similar terms with his deal at AmaKhosi. He is set to replace Sibusiso Mabiliso.

Mabiliso left a big hole in the defense, but Zulu will fill it on the left flank or as a defensive midfielder. Of course, he will still feel hard-done-by, as he made 36 appearances which means he was one of the more established players.
