Doctor’s Appointment

As the years pass, people must start paying more attention to their health. Routine visits to the doctor are always recommended, but they are crucial for men and women over 40. In 2016, Richard visited the hospital and returned home with a daunting diagnosis: he had cystic fibrosis, a disease in his family.

At the time, Richard was still haunted by the passing of his sister, who had died from cystic fibrosis years before. She passed away after a heart-transplant surgery. Even though she was in the hands of the reputable Sir Magdi Yacoub (a now-retired Egyptian professor of cardiothoracic surgery), she didn’t resist the procedure.
