Was Justice Made?
In the end, was justice served for Richard? Or is the $310K payment made by Kate meaningless? While $310K doesn’t seem like a lot considering all the money Richard paid to his ex-wife, it is more than many other fraudulent mothers have been sentenced to pay. In many instances of paternity fraud, mothers get to move on unscathed.
Justice, however, isn’t solely measured in monetary terms. Richard was cut away from his past! How can a man (especially a father) bounce back from that? And is there enough money make up for such a painful experience? We don’t think so.
