A Family Matter

Before sharing his unbelievable story with the news, Richard was forced to tell his family about his condition. This was a tremendous task! Consider how disappointed his mother, for example, must have been after discovering her grandsons were not related to her by blood. That’s got to break any grandparent’s heart!

Richard’s younger sister was surely extremely disappointed as well, especially since she was also diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (his other sister sadly passed away shortly before he was diagnosed). In other words, Richard was far from being Kate’s sole paternity fraud victim: his close relatives and friends suffered too.
