Kate’s Halfhearted Admission

When Richard confronted Kate with the facts, she could no longer assure him that his sons were his. So, she decided to spill the beans and admit that she was unfaithful to him while they were married. However, she did so halfheartedly, denying the possibility that another man got her pregnant.

“Yes, I was involved with another man, who worked at Barclays Bank at the time,” she told Richard, “But we only got together six to 12 times, and we always used a condom.” Richard was unhappy that his ex-wife wouldn’t tell him who the birth father of their children was.
