No, it’s not the magic carpet or the new hoverboard we’ve all wanted since watching “Back to The Future.” It’s just our eyes creating this illusion that the woman is on a floating plank because of the placement of a flag’s shadow.
The flag of Europe, as seen on the top left part of the photo, symbolizes the whole Council of Europe and was designed in 1955. Later on, it also became the representation of the European Union. There are 12 stars on the flag that stand for the continent’s people. It has been said that 12 depicts entirety and perfection.
