Additional Olympic Rings
Reuters’ Luke MacGregor appears to have created an alternate logo for the Olympics—this time with six rings, thanks to the perfect placement of the moon, which seems to be the same size as the other rings. The five rings represent Asia, America, Europe, Africa, and Oceania.
The colors were chosen because the nations mentioned have at least one of these hues on their flags. Plus, the logo was based on the design of Baron Pierre de Coubertin, which was first presented in 1913. Since its inception, Prestige Online notes that the tournament had never been postponed until the 2020 Tokyo event.
