A Case Of Bat-Tery?

Ouch! Bat-throwing in the crowd has produced some of the most hilarious photos. While many fans on the bench waited patiently to catch a once-in-a-lifetime item of memorabilia, this guy did not seem ready and was hit in the face!

The reality is that this wasn’t really an intentional throw, but an accident after Indiana catcher Kelly Shoppach’s bat slipped out to the crowd in Arlington, Texas. As a result, the man in green reportedly suffered a broken rib. From this snap, it would seem that the victim had a broken mandible, but strangely enough, he had a different injury.
