Anna Wintour extended her support for Joe Biden during the 2020 U.S. presidential election. However, most of her assistants wouldn’t return the favor in such circumstances because their experiences working with her even spawned a novel that got a screen adaptation.
Lauren Weisberger penned The Devil Wears Prada after leaving Vogue. In response, Wintour said that she always enjoyed good “fiction,” and she hadn’t decided whether she would read it or not. Weisberger said that she drew inspiration from her personal experiences and her friends’ accounts for the film.
