Gretchen Whitmer & Dr. Marc Mallory – Together Since 2011
Gretchen Esther Whitmer is Michigan’s Governor, and she’s held the office since 2019. Whitmer also previously served as an Ingham County Prosecutor, Michigan Senate minority leader, and member of the state’s House of Representatives.
Dr. Marc Mallory married Whitmer in 2011 when she assumed the position of the Senate Democratic Leader. Whitmer had been down the aisle before when she tied the knot with Gary Shrewsbury, and their union resulted in two children. Mallory also has three sons from his former marriage. The couple and their children live in East Lansing, Michigan.
