What goes on in the animal kingdom when no one’s watching? Well, thanks to a trail cam, we caught a red fox in the act of doing something that most creatures do daily. At first glance, it looked like it was getting ready to pounce on its prey. Upon closer inspection, the cunning animal was just answering nature’s call!
Foxes use their droppings to mark their territory. They tend to leave their feces in specific locations, like the carcasses of other animals and even people’s shoes! Although this happens more often in urban areas, it’s a fascinating behavior that shows the complexity of animal communication.
