Sleepless Nights: The Life of a Nocturnal Mom Vixen
It’s tough being a mom, and it’s even harder when it has to be done at night. Just ask this vixen, who’s up and about even when everyone else is asleep. As she feeds her cubs, one can see the exhaustion in her eyes. But she soldiers on, because that’s what moms do.
Fortunately for her, she won’t have to keep this up for long. Fox cubs only nurse for the first six or seven weeks of their lives, according to the New Forest Explorers Guide webpage. After that, this mom can finally catch up on her sleep and enjoy some alone time. Until then, kids take center stage.
